year-end meme
Jan. 2nd, 2014 02:12 amsaw this floating around, figured why the fuck not. i dont have anything else i want to do at this time of night.
1. What did you do in 2013 that you’d never done before?
i stood up to my father and kindly told him to get the fuck out of my life. also tried using perler beads for the first time.
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i honestly can't remember if i made any new years resolutions for 2013. i suppose that means there's a high chance i didn't keep them. i plan on making a few this year, which i'll post here at some point so i can come back and check them later.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
negative.
5. What countries did you visit?
green country?? i mean i live in northeast oklahoma, so maybe that counts. the only traveling i did was a cruise at the beginning of the year and a road trip to okc for izumicon. oh and the sophomore year scholars trip, that was fun as hell.
6. What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?
i would like to have some merchandise from free!, i'll be honest. gimme all the rin. but on a serious note, by the end of this year i'd like to have a finished novel and a better idea of where i plan on going after high school. i need to settle my mind on a lot of decisions i worry incessantly over. also i want to try and take pictures of myself?? i really don't have many photos with me in them, so i guess i want to try and document changes over the year. (i also want my best friend back.)
7. What date from 2013 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
27 july 2013. the day my father knocked on the door.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
the father thing, probably. making it through sophomore year and into junior, and not failing any classes. making it into nhs was pretty nice as well, now it's a matter of staying in.
9. What was your biggest failure?
maybe it isn't the biggest deal, but i'm frustrated that i didn't raise my psat score as much as i wanted. i didn't qualify for national merit. i really wanted to, and i worked hard to raise my score enough points but it didn't happen. i was hoping i could get scholarship money out of the program and use it to my advantage on college apps. now i've gotta figure out plan b.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
i think the most serious injury was when i stubbed my toes getting out of the shower. they were bruised for a solid week and damn did it hurt. i was sick often, but that's nothing different from usual. oh, got my first migraine. i have chronic painless migraines, but this is the first one that actually caused serious pain. i will never take a muscle relaxant again. i can live with stiff shoulders.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
animal crossing new leaf 3ds bundle. i regret nothing about that purchase.
